There are two afghan contests running right now that are quite exciting!! One by Mary Maxim and the other by Herrschners!!

Mary Maxim is looking for original afghan designs and knit or crochet accessories!

There are 4 catagories:

• Crochet Afghan
• Hand Knit afghan
• Baby Afghan Knit or Crochet
• Accessories Knit or Crochet

One $500 winner will be chosen from each category, and then a $1,500 winner will be chosen from among the four category winners!

The deadline for entry forms for this contest is May 15, 2015 and there is a $10 entry fee. The finished projects must be sent in by June 23, 2015 so get those ideas going and get those needles and hooks burning up the yarn!

Herrschners is having a Grand National Afghan Contest! They are also looking for original afghan designs. For this contest you do need to send in your afghan, and there is a $10 entry fee for one afghan with a $5 fee for each additional afghan you send in.

The deadline for entry forms is June 16, 2015 and the finished project must arrive no later than July 16, 2015.
